We are delighted to offer for sale this fabulous piece of English Mid Century Interior Design.

An Alpha Swivel Armchair by Pieff. This gorgeous example comes in great vintage condition with its original Chocolate Brown leather and Chrome tubular frame construction. The Alpha range was designed for Pieff in the late 1960s by Tom Bates. Pieff where a British company based in the West Midlands from the early 1960s through to the 1980s. Pieff Products like this where retailed at Harrods & Heals.

This lovely example is in very good usable condition. It is a very comfortable chair into which you sink. We have used it in our home for several years and visitors always comment on how comfortable it is. The only reason we are selling this goregous chair is that we have changed the colour scheme in our home.

It still has its original deep chocolate brown leather which has a lovely soft vintage patina. The surface of the leather has some light cracking in places giving it an authentic aged / lived-in quality. The chrome is still mostly still in pretty good condition.

This chair could do with some light restoration and TLC ! There is a small burn/tear in the top cusion and the Chrome base does have some surface rust/pitting here and there. (See pics)

Overall I nice example of a rare British 20th Century design in very usable condition. This gorgeous armchair would look fabulous in a Mid 20th Century themed interior design scheme or in a trendy loft appartment.
